Challenge
Dental.com sought to create a digital platform that empowers users to access personalized dental insights effortlessly. The goal was to simplify the dental assessment process, reduce barriers to oral health understanding, and create a seamless user experience for patients and dental professionals.
My Role
- AI Integration: Advanced algorithms ensure accurate and real-time analysis of oral health conditions.
- Design system: To provide a smooth and cohesive user experience throughout the platform, I developed a detailed design system in Figma and transformed it into React components.
- User-Friendly Design: A clean, modern interface makes the platform approachable and easy to navigate.
- Mobile-First Approach: Designed primarily for mobile users, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience on smaller screens.

- AI-powered Chatbot: I designed an intuitive AI-driven chatbot called “CICI.” This feature enables patients to inquire about dental topics through either text or voice, delivering immediate and intelligent responses.

From Research, Prototyping, Design, and Code to Launch
1. Understanding the Problem
- Mapped the typical user journey to identify areas of friction in traditional dental assessments.
- Conducted user interviews with individuals seeking dental care to understand their pain points and expectations.
- Collaborated with stakeholders at Dental.com to define project goals, key metrics, and technical constraints.
2. Designing the Experience
- Mobile-First Design: Adopted a mobile-first approach to ensure an optimal experience for most smartphone users accessing the platform.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Created low-fidelity wireframes to conceptualize the platform’s structure. Moved to high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, showcasing a clean and intuitive design.
- Accessibility First: I ensured that the platform adhered to WCAG 2.1 guidelines for inclusivity, providing an optimal experience for users of all abilities.
- Seamless Navigation: Designed an intuitive flow to guide users through the AI-powered assessment process with a minimal learning curve.
3. Front-End Development
- Built responsive and pixel-perfect interfaces using Bootstrap 5.0, ensuring seamless device performance.
- Integrated dynamic components using React, creating an interactive and engaging user experience.

As part of the platform, Key functionalities include:

Design System of Dental.com
To ensure a seamless and consistent user experience across the platform, I created a comprehensive design system in Figma and converted it into React components.
This approach allowed the backend development team to build the application efficiently without compromising design integrity. Key highlights of the design system include:

- Reusable Components: Designed a library of reusable UI components, such as buttons, input fields, modals, and navigation elements, to maintain visual consistency.
