Process & Approach

I'll work alongside you to achieve your objectives, by providing excellent strategy, design, branding, and development services.

STEP 1

Discover

Understand your business and users to uncover breakthrough insights

In order to know what to ideate on and explore, I need to understand who I'm designing for and why. Through research and a deep understanding of both user and business needs, I look for insights and breakthroughs that help me identify what to focus on.

  • Competitive and comparative analysis
  • Analytics review
  • Ecosystem mapping
  • Heuristic evaluation
  • User interviews and surveys
  • Persona development
  • Experience mapping
  • Service design blueprints

STEP 2

Ideate

Explore insights to form and prioritize a strategic plan to impact objectives

The insights taken from discovery and research become my north star of ideation. I explore many ideas and strategies, ultimately narrowing down to a prioritized set of strategies that will have the most impact on my objectives.

  • Experience design strategy
  • User/job stories
  • Flow charts, diagrams, and wireframes
  • Information Architecture
  • Brand and design system development
  • Design technology consulting
  • On-site workshops

STEP 3

Create

Implement the plan through digital and physical design/development solutions

Research and strategy come to life in the creation phase. This is because I materialize and craft testable solutions that aim to solve user friction and achieve business objectives.

  • User interface design
  • Application design
  • Mood-boarding
  • Low / High Fidelity Prototyping
  • Illustrations, icons, and infographics
  • Living style guides (HTML / CSS)
  • Front-end engineering

STEP 4

Validate

Gather user feedback to test the effectiveness of the solutions and iterate

Testing my work is the most important measurement of success. Qualitative and quantitative testing leads to the validation of my solutions or insights to drive further iteration and improvement.

  • Prototype user testing
  • User surveys
  • A / B testing
  • Analytics review
  • Heatmapping and scroll mapping
  • Living style guides (HTML / CSS)
  • ADA compliance

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between UI & UX?

UX Design refers to the term User Experience Design, while UI Design stands for User Interface Design.

I can describe User Interface Design as the things users see when navigating a digital product and User Experience Design as the feeling they have while doing that.

All the factors influencing the cost (scope, complexity, platforms, budget, client feedback) will also affect the delivery timeline of a UX design project. A typical UX design project could go anywhere between 2-3 months to 6 months for a small-medium-sized project. Bigger projects could take more than 6 months to 1 year depending on the scope and complexity.

The cost of the project is directly proportional to the scope of the project. However, the basic engagement costs with me can range anywhere between USD 20 to USD 25 per hour depending on the complexity, scope, terms of engagement, and various other factors.

Usually, I kick-start every project with a detailed brainstorming session with all the stakeholders from the client side. These are the details/data I require before the start of every project.

  • Business/organizational goals
  • Target audience details
  • Product goals
  • Expected outcomes and KPIs of the project
  • Technical specifications
  • Market research data, if any
  • Previous user experience audit results if any
  • User analytics data, if any
  • Business reports

Yes! You need to deposit 50% advance before starting the project and the rest amount in parts.

The field of UX Research helps to unearth the conscious and subconscious behavior of people that make them like/ dislike a product. Hence, in order to understand the myriad experiences, emotions, thoughts, behaviors, motivations, reactions, actions, and attitudes that are displayed by the target audience when using a digital service/ product, you need a researcher in your team. I am an expert in decoding human behavior and helping lay a foundation for digital design or human-centered design.

Yes, I do. First and foremost, I'm a user experience designer, branding is an integral part of any UX UI design project. I position myself as a new kind of branding consultant focused on tech companies, digital products, and direct‑to‑consumer brands. Not so many UX design agencies can create a visual identity for a coffee shop like I did for various clients. My branding capabilities include research, brand and digital strategy, logo design, visual identity, graphic design, motion design, style guide development, and web design, among other things.

However, my clients often provide me with either a brand strategy or even a complete visual identity package. In these cases, I use the current brand foundation as the starting point, not just carefully applying it to whatever I'm designing but making sure I extend and enrich the brand while staying true to its roots.

For the design engagement, I will give you the PSD, XD, Axure RP, or Sketch files on a platform like Marvel or Invision that allows for easy development. If I'm collaborating for Frontend Development as well, I will provide you with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files depending on the development framework.

I generally follow multiple pricing models to accommodate the different needs of my clients:

Retainer Model: This model is adopted where the scope of the project is ambiguous and I'm exploring research and innovation. I take on the role of design consultant and help brands discover the hidden potentials and possibilities with their users. The minimum engagement period starts from 3 months and can be extended as per the project requirement.

Fixed Bid Model: It is recommended only for the projects where I am extremely clear about the project's scope and need little or no innovation. Here based on the scope of the project, I commit to the timelines, and thereby costs are calculated.

I believe in good character and that skills can be taught. I have to be a team player, a respectful and honest individual to be able to pass the base criteria. However, the knowledge of design tools and proficiency in design fundamentals is also a prerequisite.

Yes, I'm up to the challenge. I'm one of the few user experience designers specializing in enterprise UX design and digital transformation of legacy business software. I start each new enterprise UX project with a deep‑dive discovery and research to fully immerse ourselves in the industry and project specifics. My design services span from user research and information architecture, branding, UX UI design, prototyping, and user testing to full‑stack development and design systems.

If you're looking for a UI UX designer, please send me an email first with a quick summary of your project or an RFI/RFP. I usually reply within 24 hours to schedule an introductory call and ask any immediate questions. During our first call, I will ask a lot of questions about the project goals, audience, budget, timeline, and other essential details. I can sign an NDA if necessary, but I always treat all client conversations as confidential. I recommend contacting several user experience design companies to compare their prices and UX UI approach.

While many UI & UX designers only work by the hour, I try to estimate the project cost as precisely as possible before I start. After the call, I may request various documentation such as a design brief, project requirements, past designs, etc.

I will email you a proposal and can schedule a video call to walk you through it. The UX design agency proposal will include a detailed description of our UX UI approach, project phases, activities, deliverables, design team composition, and relevant case studies.
